Ellen E. Jamason

 

Ellen E. Jamason has over 25 years of experience in the business and law of real estate. 

 

A former partner at two major law firms, a former technology business executive, and a principal of a boutique investment firm, Ellen brings a unique business-oriented approach to her legal practice.

 

Ellen received her J.D. from University of California at Berkeley, where she was Senior Executive Editor of California Law Review and a Member of Order of the Coif.  Ellen was previously a partner at Bingham McCutchen, LLP and Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison, LLP.

 

Ellen has been selected to Super Lawyers of Northern California.

 

In addition to her law practice, Ellen is a principal of Common Bond Capital Partners, LLC, which invests in distressed real estate projects and related municipal bonds.

 

Ellen has previously served as Senior Director of Real Estate and Site Development for Cisco Systems, Inc.  Ellen also led Cisco's State and Local Government Affairs team, advising C-level executives on public policy issues. 

Prior to attending law school, Ellen served as Deputy Division Director at the National Security Agency.

 

Ellen earned a B.A. in East Asian Studies from Wesleyan University, and attended the international program at Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan.   She has also studied at the Johns Hopkins School of International Studies.

 

Ellen is active in the San Francisco Bay Area community and is past Chair of Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco.  Ellen is currently a board member of the Pacific Vision Foundation.
